Plant Help

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about shipping, plant photos, variegation, arrival care, and what to do if your order needs support.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes! We currently ship plants within Canada. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and package size.

When do you ship orders?

Plants are shipped Monday through Wednesday to help avoid weekend transit delays and reduce shipping stress.

Will my plant look exactly like the photos?

Each plant is unique, especially variegated plants. While you will receive the exact plant shown unless otherwise stated, variegation patterns and colors may continue to change as the plant grows.

Do you guarantee variegation?

Variegation is a natural genetic trait and can change over time. While we carefully select and propagate highly variegated plants, we cannot guarantee future variegation patterns on new growth.

Should I repot my plant immediately after receiving it?

We usually recommend allowing the plant to acclimate for at least 1-2 weeks before repotting.

Do you offer refunds or returns?

Due to the nature of live plants, all sales are final. However, if your plant arrives severely damaged, please contact us immediately with photos and an unboxing video.

Are your plants imported or locally grown?

We offer a mix of carefully acclimated imports and locally propagated plants. Each listing will specify when applicable.

What should I do if my plant arrives DOA (Dead on Arrival)?

In the rare event that your plant arrives severely damaged or dead, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery.

To help us assess the issue, please provide:

  • Clear photos of the plant
  • Photos of the packaging
  • An unboxing video taken immediately upon opening the package

Claims submitted without an unboxing video may not qualify for compensation. Minor cosmetic damage, yellowing leaves, or shipping stress are considered normal and are not classified as DOA.

How do I care for my plant after delivery?

Your plant may need time to recover from shipping and adjust to its new environment. We recommend:

  • Unpacking the plant as soon as possible after delivery
  • Placing it in bright indirect light
  • Avoiding direct sunlight for the first few days
  • Waiting a few days before repotting or fertilizing
  • Allowing the plant time to acclimate before making major environment changes

Some temporary stress after shipping is normal. With proper care, most plants recover and continue to thrive.
